A native of Albemarle, Dr. Bill Hatley graduated from North Carolina State University and received his dental degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. He then returned to Albemarle and began a private dental practice in 1977.

Dr. Hatley attends continuing education courses on a regular basis to stay current with the latest developments in dentistry. He has received extensive training in Dental Implants, cosmetic techniques, restoration of teeth, jaw joint disorders, and the treatment of gum disease. Although North Carolina requirements consist of 20 hours of continuing education per year, Dr. Hatley averages a minimum of 50 hours per years in order to stay abreast of all the latest developments in dental technology. He is eligible for Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry and an active member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Association, and the Stanly County Dental Society.
