She completed an MS degree in Orthodontics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
She remained on the UNC faculty for four years upon completion of her graduate residency, leaving to teach for three years at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Dr. Bailey’s research interest included Stability of Orthognathic Surgery, and she has published extensively in this area. Dr. Bailey is also a graduate of the Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine course, which only accepts a select number of applicants each year. Finally, Dr. Bailey is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists, and most recently has been inducted into the Angle Society of Orthodontics.
She is the mother of two boys, Jordan and Jacob Jefferson, who are 15 and 14. She has recently moved to the Triad to establish a private practice limited to Orthodontics in High Point, while remaining as an adjunct faculty member at UNC.
